The following list of errors has been discovered in this book.

 p. 380.   Modify the structure of pentylamine in Figure 16.9.  It should be

 
p. 405.     4th paragraph.  An angstrom is 1 x 10(-6) meters.
                              NOT         1 x 10(-8) meters
 
p. 406.     4th paragraph.  lines 3 & 4.  It should read
     'Heavy' ions are deflected least for a given magnetic field strencth
     and a give velocity, whereas 'light' ions are deflected most.
 
p. 408.      3rd paragraph.  The first formula is incorrect.
              #C is not divided by 1.11.  It should be
         P+1   =     (1.11)(# C) + 0.36 (# N)
 
p. 409.     4th paragraph.  Starting with (a) P+1 = 9.99, etc.
         For 1-d, the molecular weights of P are missing.
     (a) MW = 128      (b) MW = 114      (c) MW = 129      (d) MW = 149
 
 p. 415.     4th paragraph.  3rd line.     higher frequency corresponds to lower energy.
                  It should be
         , at higher frequency (lower energy) than the absorption for C=C......
 
 p. 441.       3(b) should be N,N-dimethyl-2-butanamine
                  7(f) should be P-44
 
 p. 528.     Structure 13 (b) should be
