This is a graduate level textbook with homework. It is a
reactions book, but uses organic synthesis as its fundamental theme . It
contains many examples of modern organic reactions and reagents and is generally
divided into two parts: functional group exchange reactions, and methods of
making carbon-carbon bonds. It also contains a chapter of strategies for the
disconnection of molecules.
