Dr. Pai received his Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut in 1993.
The title of his thesis was
- Part 1. Organnostanane Based Chiral Auxiliary Approach to Enantioselective Synthesis.
  - This work was directed by Dr. William Dent, now at Dow-Elanco.
- Part 2. Rate Enhancement of Diels-Alder Reaction in Ethanolic Aqueous Buffer.
  - This work was done in my lab.
Dr. Pai spent one year as a postdoctoral researcher with Professor Larry Silbart, at UCONN.
